Arcade Sandbox on an iPhone: a box to name your game, a box to describe it, 2D and 3D options, a list of game kinds, and a Make My Game button.
๐Ÿ’ฌ NO CODE

You never see any. A sentence in, a playable game out.

๐Ÿ›Ÿ NOTHING WASTED

A game that fails costs nothing. Your tokens come right back.

๐Ÿงพ REAL COST

You pay what a game actually costs to make. Nothing added on.

How it works

One sentence.
Then one minute.

1

Say what you want

“A raccoon skateboards through a night city dodging traffic.” That is the whole input. Pick 2D or 3D and a kind of game if you like.

2

We build it

About a minute for 2D. We write the code, test that it actually runs, and fix it if it does not. Lock your phone or switch apps — it keeps building without you.

3

Change one thing

“Make it faster.” “Add a boss.” One sentence makes it again. Every version is kept, so you can always go back.

See it

A real game,
made for thumbs.

Not a template with your words dropped in. Every game is written from scratch for your idea, in portrait, with controls where your thumbs already are.

Browse the Arcade: a staff pick and a grid of phone games made by other people. Make Games: describe a game, pick 2D or 3D and a kind, then tap Make My Game. Edit and publish: a live game with Take Down and Send Link, and a box to change it in words. Build assets: make pictures, 3D objects and music from a prompt and add them to a game.

Questions

The short answers.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You never see code, and you never have to. You describe the game you want in ordinary words, and you change it the same way.

What happens if a game comes out broken?

Every game is tested before it is saved. If it does not run, we try to fix it, and if it still does not work you are not charged. A failed game always costs nothing.

Can I leave the app while it builds?

Yes. Builds run on our servers, not on your phone. Lock the screen, switch apps or walk out of signal — the game finishes and is waiting in your library.

Who owns the games I make?

You do. They stay private until you choose to put one in the arcade, and you can take it back down whenever you like.

Can other people play my games?

Only if you want them to. Add a game to the arcade and anyone can play it, or send a private link to one person. Everything in the public arcade is moderated.

What are tokens?

What a game costs to make. You start with 3,000 free, which covers a first game and a few changes. Buy more in buckets that never expire, or get a monthly allowance with a Pass.

Does it work on iPad?

The app is built for iPhone right now. Everything also works in a browser at arcadesandbox.com, on any device.
